The roots of Ethereal Flames lie in the personal history of each musician, passion and artistic discovery  that resulted in the creation of an album that is not just music, but a journey through time, mythology and  emotions deeply rooted in the land of the Marche . 

This adventure begins with Matteo and Alessandro, two friends with a past rich in music and concerts,  including a significant experience as session musicians during the Last Union's European tour. 

The desire to give life to a musical project that could capture the essence of their artistic identity, their  musical philosophy and that could impact and involve the listener produced the initial spark of Ethereal  Flames which, thanks to Andrea's entry, finally found his own compositional vocation. 

This amalgam of a burning passion for various musical genres led to the composition of something  completely new. Thanks to the creative harmony, they began to give shape to their ideas in the rehearsal  room. 

Deep lovers of heavy metal in its various declinations, they naturally chose this genre as their field of  expression and an initial approach centered on a classic heavy sound. The vision evolved soon towards  the adoption of a rich symphonic component, to give their pieces a greater depth and epicness. 

The symphonic arrangement does more than just providing a backdrop; rather, it intertwines and  dialogues with the metal section, creating a sonic experience that is greater than the sum of its parts. The  rhythm section with electric guitars, bass, and drums blends with orchestral elements to create moments  of pure aural ecstasy, where each note seems to transport the listener on a journey through legends and  myths of our land. The fulcrum of musical creation becomes the narration of stories and legends that have  their roots in their land, the Marche, a territory rich in history, myths and legends. 

Through their music, the Ethereal Flames weave tales that range from the legendary Guerin Meschino, the  knight errant enchanted by the Sibyl, to the legendary figure of the Sibyl herself, protector and finally  avenger betrayed by her protégés. Their narrative extends to the tragic story of Laura di Farneta, unjustly  accused of witchcraft, and to the mysterious journeys of the Holy House of Mary, to the point of recalling  the decisive battle of the Metauro and the wandering destiny of Pilate. 

Each song is a story in itself, woven with threads of ancient narratives and reflections on existence, on  struggle, on love, and on defeats and revenge. This narrative approach enriches the music with an  emotional involvement that allows listeners to fully immerse in the stories, experiencing each song as a  personal journey. 

So, it's not just epic battles and ancient legends that find voice in their songs. Also tormented and tragic  love stories find space, narrating the events of Paolo and Francesca, killed for a forbidden love, and of a  girl lost in grief over the murder of her beloved. 

The entry of the excellent drummer Thomas, a friend of Matteo and Alessandro, is the winning choice to  complete the powerful rhythm section necessary to give life to the work "Myths and Legends of our Land".  With the lineup finally complete, Ethereal Flames enter Manuele Pesaresi's Dyne Engine Studios, where  they create the sound that fully expresses the impact required to bring their project to life with the  recording and mastering of the album.

The commitment from Sliptrick Records was then the next fundamental step to complete the work. Our  record company immediately understood and supported the unique spirit of the group. With the album  finally ready, Ethereal Flames prepare to bring their music and stories to the live stage and invite fans to  join them on this epic journey through the music, mythology and passion that defines their unique heavy  metal symphonic sound.

Hi there! How are you doing these days?

Hello, first of all thank you for contacting us for this interview, it is an honor for us to talk about our project.

We can honestly say that we are really happy and proud to have arrived here.

How would you classify your music? Do you agree with the reviewers who are trying to describe your musical genre?

We can classify it as Symphonic Power Metal. We were inspired by the biggest bands of this genre. We agree with the reviews we are receiving, all very positive. The reviewers understood the music genre and the message we want to convey.

Who are your top five musical influences?

If we talk about bands, surely we try to inspire ourselves to bands like Stratovarius, Hammerfall, Powerwolf, Avantasia and Malmsteen.

What do you want fans to take away from your music? Is it just a mood, or do you hope to communicate specific ideas?

We hope to give good music to the listeners and to make known our musical genre and our local traditions, which are fantastic.

Can you tell us about Myths And Legends Of Our Land?

It is a great journey that starts from our love for our region. A unique place with great stories and myths to tell and beautiful places to see.

So we decided to tell those fantastic myths about our land, to make the listener fall in love.

What do you love and hate about the music business?

We love the fact that today everyone has a real chance to release an album. This is very important, because it gives space to new artists and new music.

Not much we hate right now.

What is the best concert you have ever been to? What do you enjoy most about playing live?

There are many concerts we loved, from Black Sabbath to Iron Maiden to Malmsteen, but there are many more.

Playing live is a great adrenaline rush, seeing the audience that is there for you is the most beautiful thing for every musician.

How have you evolved as an artist or band over the past year?

Constantly searching for new music to listen to. Working hard in the rehearsal room to prepare better and better live shows.

If you could meet, play a gig, co-write a song, have dinner, or get drunk with any band or artist (dead or alive), who would it be?

For the respect we have for all bands who made rock and heavy music great, every band would be a great experience.
